EMSA Sporting Activities at The West Bridgford School

Welcome to Activ8

Out of school Activities help children acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding which will be useful for them at home, school and in the communities which they live. The relationships they build with other young people and workers alike should enable them to value themselves and each other as individuals, and to respect beliefs and viewpoints other than their own, and generally celebrate life.

The programme of activities offered at the The West Bridgford School is developed to address these different areas and engage the particular age groups who access the provision. Though support and encouragement the opportunities provided will enable the young people to explore the world around them. They will discover new things, experiment and practice with new skills which will ultimately develop their confidence and self esteem.

Through our provision we provide an environment that works towards the five key outcomes of every young person:

  • Keeping young people safe
  • Keeping young people healthy
  • Helping our young people to enjoy and achieve
  • Helping our young people make a positive contribution
  • Helping our young people achieve economic well being
